Purchased Lunches
We are excited to start having lunch ordered and delivered two days aweek. We will take orders on Wednesday for the following Friday andMonday. There will be a choice of a hot or cold meal each day and eachmeal is $3.25 per day. Please send your child's order and money in theplastic bag provided by the school and attach it to your child'sclothing or outside of their backpack so it does not get lost or overlooked in their backpack. Your child also has the choice of bringing adrink, purchasing milk, or drinking water for lunch. In addition, wewill continue to order Smoothies every other week.
Milk is offered to the students for $9.00 per month or $75.00 per year. Dairy Fresh willtake our order on Monday. Therefore, milk has to be paid for monthly onthe first Monday of each month. Please send money in an envelopelabeled with your child’s name and the month you are paying for.
Packed Lunches
On days that you send lunch, please make sure that your child can openand handle it themselves. We will not be able to heat food at school.Send warmed foods in a thermos. Please, no carbonated drinks, sweetenedjuices, sugary or extra sweet foods, snacks, or fast food. DO NOT SENDHIGHLY SWEETENED, SUGARY OR HIIGHLY PROCESSED FOODS, KOOLAID, OR HIGHSUGAR DRINKS for lunch; we will not allow them to eat those foods.Please make sure your child’s name is on his/her lunch box orbag. Please have your child bring their lunch with them in the morning.If your child does not have his or her lunch in the morning, the parentwill be called and required to bring a lunch to the school officebefore 9:00 a.m. Bringing a child’s lunch during lunch time is adisturbance to the school day.
Lunch Etiquette
Proper table manners are expected of all children during eating times.We are counting on your help in teaching and reinforcing proper mealetiquette. What they do at home, they will do in school or in public.Teach your child to sit down while eating, talk quietly, and to eatlunch before dessert.
